Whistler Valley Snowboard Club is a local organization designed to provide Whistler/Vancouver kids ages 9 and up with snowboard instruction up to five days of a week throughout the whole season.
WVSC is the only snowboard club in Whistler and was created in 1997 to fill the void in quality, long-term snowboard coaching program in the area. Due to its uniqueness and popularity, the WVSC has been selected by Whistler/Blackcomb to run their high-end freestyle program with now over 80 members.
 The
Whistler Valley snowboard Club provides a fun and safe environment,
encouraging both competition and recreational riders to fully
meet their potential. The high-energy, professional coaches
are always on-hand to encourage progression on any and all
Whistler/Blackcomb terrain, be it powder, park, pipe or boardercross.
Whether learning their first 360 or working
out a complete competition run, WVSC members
acquire and build their skills, allowing
them to fully enjoy snowboarding in a safe
and fun environment.
If
you are an advanced to expert rider and are serious about
improving your overall freestyle ability the WVSC is for you.
By joining the club, you become part of a supportive group
of snowboarders who share the same attitudes and goals as
you. The WVSC is devoted to safety, progression, and, most
importantly, a good time on the hill every single day.

Joining the WVSC means a season-long commitment to improve
your overall riding, combining just the right amount of structure,
consistency and serious fun!
The Whistler Valley Snowboard Club is designed with both the recreational free rider and the competitive rider in mind. The club is priced to afford the average family the luxury of giving their children the best quality snowboard coaching in the Whistler area. With our Nationally Certified coaches and renowned training facilities, the WVSC is developing some of Canada's top snowboarders, tomorrow's superstars.
The
WVSC team competitors are high caliber athletes who travel
with coaches to events throughout BC and Canada.
The club travels to at least fourteen Provincial and National competitions including: Big White, Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Mt Seymour, Cypress, Lake Louise, Stoneham PQ, and Stratton VT. The club organizes transportation and accommodation for any members wishing to follow the competition series. By competing in these events WVSC members acquire points which enable them to compete and potentially represent Canada on the National level.
The club rides both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, mixing it up between terrain park, powder and general cruising. This year, the Blackcomb Terrain Park is better than ever, with lots of new features and an exclusive expert side: bigger tabletop jumps, and more difficult handrails. This allows club members to train and get comfortable in what many consider the most progressive terrain in North America.
The
Whsitler Valley Snowboard Club is primarily about our members.
We rip around all day, constantly asking the members what
they want to do and where they want to go. If our kids want
to build kickers on a powder day away from the crowds, we'll
do that. If they want to ride pipe all day, we'll do that
too. It's their club, after all.
